Treatment Feedback
After producing our treatment we showed it to our classmates to get feedback on our work to see if our treatment needed to be changed or things that needed to be added on. We had good feedback; however there were some elements that needed that needed to be changed.
Feedback:
- As we are filming at night we wouldn't have good lighting in our location.
Therefore we decided to shoot our video during the day, but some scenes could be at night so the video could still have a gloomy feel.
- We want the actress running through the forest, however we don’t have a moving object to create a tracking shot.
Therefore we decided to use a hand-held shots as this will show the characters emotions.

Treatment
The storyline of our music video relates to the sound and the lyrics. It's about a girl who's running through a forest. She is telling her ex boyfriend that he has turned her into a beast. "if you only see the beast you've made of me I held it in but now it seems you've set it running free". We decided to make the girl represent a wolf as shown in the chorus of the song "howl, howl". There is going to be flash backs throughout the music video of her and her ex boyfriend. We was inspired by Taylor Swift - Mine. There is going to be two different scenes which is a forest and a graveyard. This was inspired by Florence + the machine - cosmic love for example when she is walking through the forest. We have decided to record the music video when there is a full moon because it works well with our theme, with wolves an full moons.
Location: The location of our video is at a forest (Epping Forest) as it relates to our theme 'wolf'. Our second location is at a graveyard this location relates to the emotions of our character.
Costume:
The genre of music we are doing is indie; therefore we decided to go for a vintage look because indie fashion is unique and most indie artist have a vintage style. We are mainly basing the look on Florence + the machine – cosmic love video where she wears a vintage shirt. We want a white/cream lace dress as the colour, so the actress can stand out from our location whilst she is running through the forest. As our theme is about wolves we wanted the character to resemble a wolf too. Therefore adding red contacts in some flashbacks will create the feeling of her changing into a ‘beast’.
The audience for our music video is age 16+ as this song and video will relate to those ages.
We will be using two characters the main character and the ex-boyfriend, however the boyfriend will not be seen, only the back of his head will be seen creating a mystery. Also we want the main character to be the main focus.

Creative Ideas
We decided on more ideas for our music video. We then decided on the storyline, the mise-en scene etc.
The storyline we decided on is about a girl who falls out of love with her boyfriend and it does not go right which leads to her turning into "beast". The lyrics of the song is linked into the music video, Florence + The Machine.
We then decided on the location we are going to set our music video which is a foreset and a grave yard, representing freedom and also death.
The costume the actress is going to wear is going to be a white/cream/bleached dress which connects to the indie genre.
We also looked at a variety of music videos that have shown us what sort of camera shoots and angles will be effective for our music videos.

Creative Idea
Today we decided on song for our music video. We decided to use Howl by Florence and the Machine, we decided on this song because the lyrics are very useful and you can either be creative or simple. We decided on the location, we will be filming in the forest since the song is very dark and has a lot of animal imagery e.g. a wolf. We also annotated the lyrics of the songs and came up with our opions and idea for the music video.

Introduction
Welcome to my Media studies blog. This is my second blog because I was not able to blog due to technical difficulties at my school. In this blog I am going to be showing step to step progress of my music video. I am going to blog my development and how I have produced a music video. I will create a front and back cover for the CD case and also a advertisement for the digipack.
